PJSC MTS has implemented an IoT solution for round-the-clock monitoring of the Celsius microclimate in the State Archives of Yugra. The innovation will allow preserving about 900 archival files related to particularly valuable documents.
, optimal conditions are created armenia cell phone number list in the archive storage for storing original handwritten and early printed books of the 16th – 19th centuries, which are classified as book monuments, documents of executive and legislative authorities from the beginning of the 20th century. The room is monitored around the clock for temperature, humidity and air quality, and the sensor readings are sent to the MTS cloud storage in real time via the NB-IoT Internet of Things network. In case of deviation of temperature or humidity from the specified parameters, the system notifies responsible employees via SMS.
"During the operation of the Celsius IoT solution, we noted the high accuracy of measurements. If the humidity fluctuation exceeds 5 percent, and the temperature - two degrees, the device immediately records this, and we promptly respond. Now we do not need to constantly log into the archive storage to monitor the parameters. All data in real time is sent to the mobile and work devices of responsible persons. Thus, we solved one of the main tasks of the archive - we ensured round-the-clock control over the indicators, the observance of which allows us to create favorable climatic conditions that exclude premature aging and destruction of paper media. In the future, we plan to scale the solution to other storage facilities, covering all 610 funds with more than 145 thousand archival cases related to the history of the development of Yugra, the heritage of the small peoples of the North," said the director of the State Archive of Yugra, V. Komarov-Rasputin.
"We are pleased that the areas of application of Celsium are actively expanding. It is especially valuable and significant that in Yugra our technologies allow preserving unique book monuments. In addition to archive premises, the solution can be used in libraries, museums, in the food industry, in housing and communal services, in the territory of shift camps of Yugra. Our development has proven itself even in Antarctica, where sensors help to control the microclimate in the living quarters of the Progress station. It is convenient that the "box" solution is very compact, quickly installed and does not require special skills to use it. It can work without recharging and additional power sources for up to 10 years," commented Artem Ladyanov, Director of the Department for Work with the Business Market of MTS in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.
Thanks to the implementation of an intelligent monitoring system
