A great example of a useful functional lab test is the GI (gastrointestinal) map. This is a stool test that shows what's living in your gut: the good, the bad, and the ugly. It looks at bacteria, parasites, yeast, etc. I can see the overall balance in your gut so I know what to recommend to get things back into balance.
But what’s really cool about this test is that it also has markers country code philippines list about how other systems in your body are working. Like digestion, liver, immune system, inflammation, and the health of your gut lining. One test can provide a lot of information about many systems in the body!
Below is a link to a sample report of GI Map test results so you can see how helpful this test can be in figuring out why you can’t sleep!
All of my clients have some sort of gut issue that causes them to have sleep issues! Pathogens are nocturnal, so they eat, poop, and release a lot of toxins at night. All of these toxins cause a lot of inflammation. Your body then releases cortisol in response to the inflammation, and cortisol wakes you up. Even if you’re not stressed about anything, your mind is racing and even your heart is beating really fast.
If you have a damaged gut lining, what we call leaky gut, your body is going to have a lot of inflammation day and night, which can also disrupt your sleep. That’s why I work on eliminating pathogens and then rebuilding the gut to lower inflammation.
A great example of a usefu
