Anyone who wants (or has to) create a PowerPoint presentation hopes that it will be remembered by the audience - but if you don't take the time to think about what makes a good PowerPoint presentation, it will quickly do so for exactly the wrong reasons.

I remember a similar case: The keynote speaker at a well-known project management conference had decades of experience, a clear message, an incredible stage presence and a terribly bad presentation.

On every other page you would see clipart, stock photos or dancing GIFs .

I can't remember the message of the presentation (banana, right?), but I do remember the lesson about what doesn't belong in a PowerPoint presentation. But what do you need to create a good PowerPoint presentation?

Presentations are an important communication tool in the project management toolbox . But hackneyed design elements are a thing of the past - and so that you know how to spice up your presentations instead, we want to share some PowerPoint tips below. With some advice from the Microsoft website and the Office 365 YouTube channel , we'll show you how to make your PowerPoint 2016 presentations in Office 365 attractive, engaging and professional.

1. Attract attention with YouTube videos
Why should your audience sit through boring text or an uninteresting graphic when you can insert a meaningful video instead? In any case, your audience is already tuned to video content.

After all, more than a billion videos are watched on YouTube every day , and Cisco predicts that by 2021, more than 80% of internet traffic will be video content.

No matter what topic you present, there is a high-quality video on YouTube that supports your thesis.

How is it done?
Copy the embed code for the YouTube video.
In PowerPoint, on the Insert tab, in the Media pane , click Video > Online Video .
Insert video into PowerPoint presentation

Paste the embed code. Alternatively, you can use this path to search for the YouTube video or embed code within PowerPoint.
Drag the video to the desired slide within the presentation and adjust the size. Be sure to preview it to make sure everything is working as you want it.
2. Use zoom to switch between slides

Zoom introduces a new concept that allows you to switch to different slides within your france telegram data presentation in no time.

For example, you can jump to your first slide in the middle of your presentation and back again from there. Or you can use the Summary Zoom feature at the end of your presentation to show the entire presentation on one slide.

Zoom for PowerPoint
How is it done?
From the Insert menu , select Zoom .
Summary Zoom shows you an overview of all slides. Slide Zoom lets you jump to a slide within your presentation and Section Zoom lets you view a group of selected slides.
You can then get creative with the zoom tools in the Format menu and design transitions and backgrounds according to your own wishes.
3. Impress viewers with morphs
In the early 90s, a new computer technology was developed that became known as morphing. Movie audiences could hardly believe their eyes when the T-1000 formed from liquid mercury and transformed into a human in Terminator 2 , or when the Michael Jackson video "Black Or White" showed how similar people actually are.

At the time, the technology was reserved exclusively for large Hollywood studios and cost several million dollars. Today, the morphing feature in PowerPoint allows you to move seamlessly from one slide to the next using animations.
