The Covid-19 Pandemic comes into our lives coincidentally during the last academic period of a postgraduate degree where I would receive a specialization in Product Design and Development as part of a postgraduate degree in Innovation and Design Thinking.
This will imminently push me to start designing some brands, seeking to innovate a little outside of our core business, applying our skills focused on innovating with the development of in-house products.
At the same time that this was happening on my part, Rodrigo Bustamante, who is now a fundamental part of the team, would lose his job due to the cuts generated by the pandemic.
Now or never!
This situation pushes Rodrigo to seek to talk to me about the subject, where upon receiving his initial brief, he tells me the following:
“I was raised by a family that raised pigs and that is how my education in Lajamina was paid for. I feel that I should bet on what my family taught me to do. I am going to sell pork.”

Artisanal Smoked Meats with a Bit of Innovation
After some long conversations, some creative work with the GX Design Lab, and the support of Dilva, who left us more than 6 branding proposals.
GX Live Marketing presents a version of its project under corporate email database the name “Lajamina Smoked” an approach that seeks to demonstrate Panamanian pride, with differentiation and international focus, while managing to exalt our Panamanian roots through the presence and exposure of those unique traditional flavors of our gastronomy.
The proposal is accepted, once Rodrigo understands the digital approach proposed by GX, the team invites e-commerce specialist Jabbid Campo to join the project.
