Let's clarify a little!
The case of Brazil
As some people may already know, our country operates through a Federal Republic system, divided into 3 powers. They are:
Legislative (evaluates laws and whether society's behaviors are legal or not);
Executive (implements, executes and administers public policies);
Judiciary (creates and changes existing laws).
In this division, governors hold one of the positions in the executive branch, which in turn has 3 spheres: federal, state and municipal. As state representatives, governors must be elected by majority vote in 1 or 2 rounds when necessary.
