Walking Through the Import and Export Wizard
In the wizard, choose the action "Import from another program or file" and click "Next."
Select "Comma Separated Values" as the file type and click "Next."
Click the "Browse" button and locate the CSV file you created in Step 1. You will also have options for how to handle duplicate contacts. "Allow duplicates to be created" is often the safest choice europe cell phone number list if you are unsure. Click "Next."
You will be asked to select a destination folder. Choose the "Contacts" folder. This is crucial as it will ensure the imported data becomes contacts in your address book. Click "Next."
Step Mapping Your Custom Fields
This next step is the most critical for a successful import. A new window will appear with a button that says "Map Custom Fields." Click this button. This window shows the columns from your CSV file on the left and the corresponding Outlook contact fields on the right. Outlook is usually smart enough to map standard fields like "Name" and "E-mail Address" automatically. However, you should always check to ensure the mapping is correct. If a field isn't mapped correctly, you can drag it from the left pane and drop it onto the corresponding field on the right. Once you are satisfied with the mapping, click "OK."
Step
Click the "Finish" button in the wizard window. Outlook will now import all the contacts from your CSV file into your main "Contacts" folder. Depending on the size of your file, this might take a few moments.
