Apple has Siri, Amazon has Alexa, Microsoft has Cortana and Google has Google Assistant. The most famous tech companies (almost) all boast of having voice assistants. But which of them boasts the most privileged intelligence?
To answer this question, Aalen University (Germany) and the digital agency Diva-e put Siri, Alexa, Cortana and Google Assistant under the microscope to analyse their skills from five different points of view (general help, recommendations, vocabulary, shopping assistance and atypical intelligence).
In each of these five categories, Aalen University and Diva-e defined between 5 and 12 questions and awarded each of the participants analysed between 0 and 2 points depending on the relevance of the answers provided.
The conclusion of this detailed analysis? That Alexa , Amazon's voice assistant, was the one that obtained the highest score, followed by Google Assistant and Siri (almost tied). And the last position went to Cortana.
In the “recommendations” and “shopping assistance” categories, Alexa bolivia phone number emerged as the most capable voice assistant. In the “vocabulary” category, however, Google Assistant won . Cortana , the “red lantern” in general terms, nevertheless obtained the highest score in the “atypical intelligence” category (followed, however, at a short distance by Alexa and Siri ).
According to Aalen University and Diva-e, Alexa is the most intelligent voice assistant due to the clear willingness of its “mother” (Amazon) to open up this artificial intelligence to third parties . Alexa's so-called “skills” (developed by third parties) clearly add an extra layer of intelligence to Amazon's voice assistant.
However, Alexa also has its fair share of limitations (from a hardware standpoint) , as the e-commerce giant's voice assistant is inextricably linked to the Echo speaker and is not yet integrated into smartphones and tablets.
