Test 3: Distance in clicks from home to product

The home page of an eCommerce website is its showcase. Therefore, it should show products, right? Products that can be reached with a single click. Well, I invite you to take a stroll through the online stores and you will be amazed at how many of them on their home page are dedicated to telling the potential client how great that company or business is and how well it does everything, relegating the products, which is what the visitor wants to see, to a secondary position or not showing them at all.

This is User Experience (UX) first. We can get as philosophical, ethereal or mystical as we want, but if we want to sell online we have to show the products from the beginning. Not just the categories, but a section of featured products, another of new products and another of the best sellers or favorites at the very least.


Test 4: What the hell is being sold here?
There are eCommerce websites where, in the estonia business email database maximum 20 seconds that the visitor will give us to decide whether they are interested in what they see or not, it is impossible to know what they are selling .

For example, let’s imagine an online store called “Golden Dreams of Dawn” (yes, I know I made up a tacky name, but trust me, I’ve seen worse). The name itself is an SEO nightmare, but if the first image is a wheat field with the word “DREAM” and then there’s a text that says “We pamper our products as you would” or “An unforgettable experience for the senses”, then you put in a quote from Albert Einstein and top it off with another image that says nothing and “At your service since 1995”, you’ve already consumed all the time that the visitor is going to spend with you and you haven’t told them what you sell (it could be almost anything).


Then, scrolling down, we discover that it's a bakery. That's the problem. If I have to scroll down to find out what you sell, your website is a disaster . Very cute, very aesthetic, but a disaster. If you sell bread, it's the first thing the user should see on your website, not just with the image, but with the text.
