The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media has published the minutes of decisions of the State Commission on Radio Frequencies (SCRF) taken at a meeting on August 1, 2024. Based on the application of Steelspace LLC, SCRF decided to allocate the radio frequency bands of 7190-7250 MHz (Earth-to-space) and 8025-8400 MHz (space-to-Earth) for the use of BA KTRL space stations (on-board equipment of the command and telemetry radio link) and ES KTRL earth stations, and the radio frequency band of 8025-8400 MHz (space-to-Earth) for the use of BA VRL space stations (on-board equipment of high-speed radio links) and VRRL-3.8 and VRRL-4.5 earth stations.
at once, so it is not easy to philippines whatsapp number databasefind it in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. In SCRF writing, the company is called "Steelspace" (the third letter from the end is "e" instead of "e"), and its OGRN code in the State Commission decision ends in 356, although in reality it is 635.
The main activity of Steelspace LLC, according to the All-Russian Classifier of Economic Activities (OKVED), is the development of computer software. The company was established in Stavropol in May 2022. Its sole founder is Elena Sinchenko, who in February 2024 created and headed Kosmosvyaz LLC in Norilsk.
Steelspace is planning to manufacture and launch Earth remote sensing satellites, and obtaining frequencies is an important step in the project. Its orbital grouping, Steelsat, will include nine spacecraft, with a gradual build-up until 2027.
The Stilsat project was initiated by the Stavropol IT company StilSoft. The corporate group on the VK social network states that Stilspace LLC is part of the StilSoft group of companies, although this affiliation is not traced at the owner level: the sole founder and CEO of StilSoft LLC is Yuri Stoyanov.
Although Steelspace only received radio frequencies on August 1, 2024, the company claims to have launched the first Steelsat-1 satellite into orbit in Q2 2024. Steelspace did not respond to ComNews' questions, so it was not possible to find out how a spacecraft could be launched without frequencies. What's more, there is no announcement on the Steelspace website about such a significant event as the launch of the first satellite, so the date of this event is unknown. Officially, the company only mentioned this in the context of the announcement of the launch date of the second satellite.
On June 27, 2024, Steelspace reported that the second of nine Steelsat remote sensing satellites is planned to be launched in 2025 - this was stated by Anton Burmak, Executive Director of Steelspace LLC, recalling that "the first ultra-high-resolution Steelsat satellite was launched in 2024." "The second satellite is planned for next year, in the second or third quarter. Assembly will begin in the fourth quarter of this year at our own assembly facility in Moscow. Our plans include completing the creation of a group of nine satellites by 2027," Anton Burmak said at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on the use of space activity results.
On December 6, 2023, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Stavropol Territory reported: "Before 2024, the Stavropol company StilSoft, together with colleagues from the People's Republic of China, are planning to send a satellite into space, which, according to its creators, is capable of taking pictures with a resolution of 0.5 m."
